Getting Started

So here we are your sitting there and one day come up with a bright idea that you believe will be a great website. Now what do you do?

This article is designed to help you get started. First you will need to put your idea down on paper, this is very important!  List everything you can think of for the look of the site, what you are going to offer, if you are going to sell something or is it going to be an informational site. If you have seen other sites that you like and want yours to have some of the same features as those sites write it down, list those sites you like on paper!

Now that you have your site idea down on paper you need to come up with a name for your site so you can get plugged into the web. This could be the hardest part. There are so many choices do you want a  .com, .net, .biz, .us, .tv you will be able to check the availability of your name through a Domain Registry and register your name.

There are many companies out there that will register the name and allow you to host your site on their server just a couple would be godaddy, justhost, hostmonster they all offer similar hosting packages. Check out your Hosting company, get the name registered and we will start on putting together the website. Check back for the next article.
